Silver Gelatin
Silver Gelatin is graphite on black paper and only visible on approach. Similar to the process of focusing and recalling a memory and the visual quality of a film negative. The source material combines photographs from criminal archives and film noir stills of the early 20th century. This era, has since inherited a nostalgic charm that morphs the past into legends, romanticised by the outdated fashions. History retells the past, it is something different, inherently flawed with the illusion of fact and truth. Like these drawings, seemingly photo realistic but far from the original photo.
